Hazlab bass preamp
WebJan 5, 2010 · Posted December 30, 2009. It's an MM114; supposed to be an exact clone of the famous hazlab. Spector sells them now, but for $450 iirc... no thanks. Some guys at TB really like these Mighty Mite versions, and say the board layout and cap values are all identical to the real thing.

WebJul 10, 2024 · Yeah, a Spector with their HAZlab preamp and EMGs into either an SVT or 800rb and an Ampeg 810 cab is going to give instant killer rock/metal bass tone. This was the late '80s/early '90s standard. Queensryche, Skid Row, Alice In Chains, Pantera, etc. Bass set up matters too.

It turned out very clearly that the Hazlab preamp very likely woun't bring the magic growl to it. In total we did figure that the BTS is a pretty good preamp that fits perfectly to CZ made Spector basses.
